As we headed through the Canterbury region into the Otago region we met a wonderful old timer who talked to us about the salmon, the yellow eyed penguin and how Dunedin is the “Edinburgh” of New Zealand. His energy was contagious and the love for his place sparkled through his brilliant blue eyes!
