We camped at Lake Monowai one evening and met Glen Smith. He was fishing for Brown and Rainbow trout at the outlet and had caught a beautiful 6 pound Brown Trout. After a short visit he offered to smoke the fish for our supper that night. IT WAS AMAZING – we even shared the trout with other people who were camping next to us. We had a great evening with a bonfire, hot smoked trout and possums staring at us from the trees in the dark.
