The mighty Mekong River divides Thailand and Laos. We leave Chiang Khong in Thailand and cross the river to Laos. Hoksay has one long street with guesthouses, a few restaurants, and people trying to sell overpriced tickets for the long boat to Luang Prabang. Our first cash withdraw is 700,000.00 Kip.
