Vientiane has an outward character all of its own. But what made this a truly remarkable experience was living with John, Julie, Cole, Jane, and their friend Megan – all of whom are from Whitehorse – in John’s brother and his wife’s home just outside the city. John and Julies sister-in-law is from Laos and through her family and friends we were all truly welcomed.
